Great stuff, only the VX Turbo would tempt me from my Tamora, but the TVR sounds amazing at any speed and has some storage space, so no deal...

sounds like some sensible comments at last,
Tamora has very different engine characteristics to Griff, best time for stock Tamora on the day was 13.4 when the VX220 (heavily modded!) was in 12's. too much wheelspin and sick engine. Still sounded better and would always prefer TVR to VX any day

I know for a fact that a Thorney stage 2 VX220 Turbo is slower in a straight line than a STOCK Griffith 500. Wich is basically the same as the tamora here (its not a T350)
Either the guy in the tamora, spun for AAGGGGES, had some dort of problem, OR someone isnt telling us the extent to which this VX220 is tuned, my guess is close to 300bhp

haha no chance .... the VX220 is a very capable car. Seen it happen my arse! Destroy would be the TVR vs a Fiesta. Although if i had the choice i would rather drive the TVR.

On paper, the TVR has a 0-60 time of 4.4 seconds.
The Vauxhall has a 0-60 time of 4.2-4.7 seconds (turbo) or 5.6 seconds (N/A).
Either way, too much wheel spin in the TVR will mean that the tail-heavy mid-engined Vauxhall would quite easily get the better start in a 1/4mile race.
Beyond 80mph though, 350bhp will easily get the better of 200bhp.
