Now this is a respectable religious man, why can't all religious people be like this?

Wow, i wish this guy would preach at my dad's church. All I heard there was stuff about being 'broken' by god and all this belittlement and sovereignty. This guy actually puts out a beautiful, universal message that EVERYONE can appreciate and understand, not just one religious group or the other.

And seriously, if a man who preaches unconditional love for your fellow man is considered a false prophet, I'd hate to meet the true prophet...

Spong's "god" isn't the God of the Old & New Testament. Also, "he speaks on one God, not many, so it can't be pantheistic".....PANTHEISM IS NOT POLYTHEISM!. YOU HAVE YOUR TERMS MIXED UP HERE!. POLY=MANY, PAN= "God" IS NATURE & NATURE IS GOD OR IN GOD, no distintiction between creator & creation!. THAT IS PANTHEISM!

@me4901 Not the one of the New Testament. You want quotes from this particular video? Why don't you read "Christianity Must Change or Die", "Living in Sin", "Rescuing the Bible From Fundamentalism", and every other book he has written. I have read EVERYONE OF THEM!. HE DOESN'T ACCEPT THE DIVINITY OF JESUS CHRIST, HIS BODILY RESURRECTION, ETC, ETC, ETC. THAT IS NOT THE JESUS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT OR THE HISTORIC CHRISTIAN CHURCH!.
