Its bad that something like this had to happen, this was beyond terrible and the stories of the survivors were heart wrenching...A little bit of good has come out of this though...More people know the warning signs..I didnt until I saw the doctumentary back in 04...I do now and if I happen to see the tide pulling back after an earthquake I will definfitly be warning people, and getting away..Seriously though..How many of us knew the warning signs of a Tsunami?

This is so unbelievably sad :( peoples lives have been left ruined and they will never get closure because most of their relatives bodies will never be found! I can't imagine what they must have went through and are still going through <3
Also, Is it through that Hawaii have a protocol in place should body parts from this tsunami wash up on its shore? My lecturer said that it's expected in the next year or two :/ how horrific.

Nope...skipping due to the ad. My inconveniences are not related to the material I watch. Most of you feigning outrage at that are pretty ignorant of how this works. Quit making yourselves look stupid.

@RedDwarffs and the "problem" you are trying to validate is that you must "suffer" thru a 30 second commercial? Sorry, that's not a problem.
@rudistoria How do you think these documentaries are made? Cameras, equipment, editing, travel costs money. Further note: at 28:00 a little boy tells his story of sleeping for the first night alone, without his mother, father, or brother. An orphan. And YOU'RE bitching about having to SUFFER thru a commercial to watch 30 minutes of FREE quality programming? Unreal.

So moving, such sadness. So many cultural perspectives represented too, and I think that alone shows the universality of this experience, and IMO the similarities we all share. The devastated Muslim man whose little boy was torn from his arms looked and sounded very much the same as the Buddhist man whose chain of family members disappeared one at a time, and though so many of the "whites" in Thailand were sadly ignorant about tsunamis, everyone really looked the same in this film - human.
