http://www.alohazen.com - Hawaii - Kailua, Kaneohe Martial Arts Instructor Guy Hess - How To Choose The Right Instructor.
The Aloha Zen Academy of Martial Arts (AZAMA) is the newest full-time Martial Arts Studio on the Island of Oahu. Established in 2010, the academy believes in traditional values. We teach the classical art of Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan (The American School of the Way of the Empty Hand Defense) founded by Grandmaster Charles J. Ferraro. Our training in Tang Soo Do also integrates the martial arts of Aikido, Jiu-jitsu, Tai Chi and Philippine Martial Arts (Kali, Escrima, Arnis).
Guy Hess - Recently returned home to Hawaii after teaching his version of what most people would refer to as a boot camp style workout in San Francisco and Los Angeles, Guy Hess is ready to help others on their quest to get their health back into optimum shape through his A to Zen Fitness Workout program.
A certified personal trainer and 3rd Degree Black Belt with over 20+ years of experience in both training and instructing in martial arts, Guy has been educated by a variety of professionals from world-class bodybuilders to Olympic gold medalists.
The kids I know who got into martial arts training have become some of the most respected, intelligent, and well-rounded adults. Those adults include regular folks like us, all the way to celebs like Kelly Hu and Mark Dacascos, who all got their foundation in martial arts training. It's about connecting the right instructor with the right type of training. Its NOT about money making. That comes on its own if you find the right place to get instruction from.

God damn it. Karate& Martial Arts. etc...etc... IS NOT FOR F-ING Children!!!
The only reason why these new school homo teachers have to teach kids is MONEY!!!!!!!
Here's an idea? How about a school actually teaches you how to defend yourself for once?
About 5% of schools today produce half way decent students the rest are here giving gay advice to mommy's who need baby sitters.

I agree guy
Aloha from near town bradah
I've seen sports martial arts that were taught as effective self-defense and self-defense styles taught that would get someone killed
It's the relationship between the instructor and student that counts

Well actually, I get what this guy in the video is saying. I went through 4 different styles before I found both a style and instructor that I wanted to work with. I went from Tai Boxing to Jeet Kune Do then ended up at Wing Chun within 2 years.

The style does matter. Depending on what u want, some techniques lack in certain areas.
