oldiesrnow I just returned here from hearing Pet Clark's version for the first time, maybe a little more polished but still another nice version. Thanks for jogging my memory on Terri Stevens' Felsted version which I never heard back then but is just as nice as well. Boy we sure could have used YouTube 35 years ago when this information was tough to run down. . .Thanx for your sharing of this song!

Great summer sound from August 1959, super light airplay on east coast. .heard it only a half dozen times before dissapearing but it still captured my ear. Had a hard time locating the Laurie 45 (3 years ago) and learned in the process that Petula Clarke had a UK version out at the same time. Would like to learn more about Terri Dean.

@shadowjack59 Like you, I barely remember this when it came out. Listen to Terri Stephens' version, also posted on YouTube, and you'll find that it's very similar to Terri Dean's version. And I also did not know that Pet Clark had a version of it, all three versions (I think) released in 1959. Thanks to YouTube for exposing all of us to "new" music!

Wow!!! I remember this, but I don't think I've heard it since 1959. Great post digging this out from 50 plus years ago.
