A GTN News EXCLUSIVE Interview with Charlie Ely, April 19, 2011, the day she was arrested for Seath Jackson's murder. She's 1 of 6 accused of luring Seath to her home in Summerfield, beating, shooting, torturing and killing him before burning his body in a fire pit. Venise Toussaint and I were the only journalists who got an interview with her before she stopped talking to the media. Ely was convicted of 1st degree murder in September 2011 and was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

  • Stupid, Stupid, Stupid. When you get arrested (even if you did the crime) NEVER CONFESS ANYTHING! When the cops start asking questions NEVER GIVE UP YOUR RIGHTS! Always ask for a LAWYER! The best words to say ARE NO WORDS, PLEAD THE 5TH. If she kept her mouth shut she wouldn't be in a Florida prison for the rest of her lift now.

  • @wickershamcraig i don't think so. the evidence and her confession were stacked against her. it was her house and she didn't do anything to stop the Seath's murder. the jury felt she was just as guilty.

  • whats up with your eye? you stupid pig filth, thats what meth does.........no care for anyone

  • Nice eye.

  • @TVNewsLady Thats why I said she should have kept her mouth shut. But thats not even her biggest mistake; not waiving her right to a speedy trial was her greatest down fall. Such a waste too, Im willing to bet she's not a physically voilent person. Not to say that she didn't cause harm or doesn't deserve to be incarcerated; but life seems to excessive. (And before you argue about Seths life, take a look at the role Bargo and the other two boys played)

  • @Lancerbabe12345 I went to school with her!

  • This is sad! She is crazy...my friend went to school with her. but DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER.

  • this is very, very sad and disappointing. she played in high school band with me. she definitely doesn't sound sane, but she seems full of regret? man...

  • no i went to school with her she is crazy

i use to beg my teachers not to partner me up with her. she is bat shit crazy

  • I think this girl was in the wrong place at the wrong time.. She obviously knew what was going on but never called the cops bc she was scared.. I bet now she regrets that.. I've been researching this case since it's happened.. She didn't have much to do with it except that she did nothing to stop it.. Kinda feel bad for her.. God be with her

Once you waive your Miranda rights and start talking they can use anything you say, especially recorded, whether you’re talking to the cop on the street or you’re in an interrogation room. Have you ever seen cops or 48 hours? The police have cameras in their cars and in their interrogation rooms. That’s why they say, “You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say or do can and will be used against you in the court of law.” Learn you rights, it may save your life one day
