I made this in just a few hours today. I took the basic shape of a mortar shell launch tube that I found on Google images and shaped it to duplicate that design.
The opening is a bit larger than the one on the real thing when going by scale but it was necessary in order to make it easier to put the dice in the tube. Otherwise people would miss the hole and complain. Also, some games require 12 dice or more in a single roll and this opening will easily accomodate.
On the inside there are soft rubber bumpers to slow down the dice, but more importantly they are there to give the dice more tumbles to ensure complete randomness. No more suspecting the dice roller of cheating!
Let me know what you think. Design change suggestions are welcome as are other ideas for other dice towers/tumblers.
This is a prototype and will have a few changes made to it before releasing them for sale on my site CustomDiceTowers.com, which, as of 4/27/09 is not up yet. The site won't go up until I have at least 3 good designs ready for sale. I expect to have the first 3 designs ready and the web site up by the end of May, 2009.

Unique, different from the standard dice towers. But equally effective, I believe, because of the rubber bumpers bouncing the dice around.
Good work.
