That's some really sweet driving - I usually constantly bitch about bad gearchanges and not using all the road.. etc etc etc... I watched and shut up. :) thank you!

So I'm assuming you stroked the 289 to 331? I would have just taken out the 289 (assuming this is indeed an original) and put in a 302, stroked to 331, dual quads, you could probably have an even more smashing time without risking damage to the 289. Just my .02

That was fun. Where do I sign up? Drag cars...big deal...go straight for a few seconds, come back and do it again..or put it on the trailer and head home. This looks like a pretty intense day at the track. Your car is geared and cammed just right, revs very clean, pulls hard enough to make it fun, and stays together. Large bore and fairly short stroke in a lightweight rotating assembly...perfect set-up for this 2900lbs car!

Shelby is known for scaring the crap out of people on the street around the old factory by driving like that.

Hehehe, the car is indeed real. Who _ever_ claimed the driver was in his right mind? :-0
You should come up and watch some year, then you would know what real is.
