Joust - Finished

It occurs to me that I should probably specify what I mean by finished in some cases. For Joust the levels start looping around Wave 10, and you encounter the final enemy type (Shadow Lords) on Wave 16. Since the game seems to go on forever and there is no preset highscore to beat I'm calling anything past Wave 16 a win.

Honestly I don't ever remember playing Joust. I think I have this game on some compilation game somewhere in my collection. Will have to give it a try.

Its not that great really. The goofy premise is alright, but the game itself gets old very fast.

Am I the only one that wonders why the Ostrich makes a skidding sound? Do you have steel belted radials on that thing?

The manual states that these are no ordinary birds. Those my friend are Space Ostriches from the future. So I'd assume they would be equipped with some badass future tech!

This game had brilliant control mechanics even on the atari 2600.

It's sad this game after one sequel don't get a remake and get forgotten, I mean - this game inspired Nintendo to make "Mario Bros." and "Super Mario Bros." without "Joust" probably the "Donkey Kong" will be last Nintendo game (sorry for bad English)

I was the best with joust at the time, I finished the game a few times to the end I had a crowd around me then and some people even bought a coors beer for me then at a bikers den in London,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, memories
