There is NO REASON to have voting occur on Tuesdays. However, rather than change the day of the week that voting occurs on, it's WISER to change the ENTIRE SYSTEM to a "Vote-By-Mail" system, like we have, in Oregon. Since each voter is only allowed ONE BALLOT and has more than two weeks to go through the ballot, in the warmth/comfort of their own home, WE HAVE THE GREATEST VOTER TURNOUT, within the entire USA! Make voting CONVENIENT and SOME responsible adults, will actually VOTE! It WORKS!

In my country it's a legal right to take time off to vote. Weekends are avoided because a large part of the country is religious.
