ZOLAR X Documentary Ad 2011

The producers of the rock documentary, STARMEN ON SUNSET: THE STORY OF ZOLAR X, are looking for a new editor to do a final edit. This is your chance to work on a documentary featuring:

Jello Biafra [Dead Kennedys]
Jane Wiedlin [The Go-Go's]
Don Bolles [The Germs/45 Grave]
Ygarr Ygarrist/Zolar X
Stan Lee [The Dickies]
Steve Binder [producer/director '68 Elvis comeback special]
Chuck E. Starr
Rodney Bingenheimer
and many other west coast rock personalities and music/film professionals.

The producers live in the Chicago area -- we'd prefer a Chicago-area editor as our first choice, but we will also highly consider an editor from Los Angeles. If you are the right fit and live elsewhere, we will consider you. The doc is filmed on DV video. A 2-hour rough cut of the documentary exists (as well as hours of outtakes) that was composed using Adobe Premiere Pro on a Windows operating system. Familiarity with Premiere Pro is a plus, or applicant must have the ability to transfer the project to Final Cut. Proficiency in After Effects and Photoshop are necessary. We will consider students, as well as professionals. You must own or have access to your own equipment/editing tools and software. Payment will be offered via points on the finished film i.e. back end payment. No front end or hourly payment will be negotiated. Excellent
