Reminds me of a kid I knew who ran from his house in Burnaby to downtown Vancouver (9km away) for the Vancouver marathon (42km), came in second place in his age category and then ran home. I feel bad for the guy that came in first ahead of him. Can you imagine? Yeah congratulations, you won. I ran here so I have to go now so I can run home before it gets dark. :-)
