This is a speedrun of the original Super Monkey Ball for GameCube. It plays through Expert, Expert Extra, and Master aiming for the fastest time.

"In addition to being deathless, I go for a lot of fast but risky strategies, such as my strategy for Expert 8.

This game is incredibly deep for speedrunning, because there's dozens of insane strategies that are barely possible. This run could be beaten by doing more insane things on floors such as Expert 6, Expert 9, Expert 25, Expert 50, Extra 3, Master 3, and plenty more.

The new games add crappy gimmicks and cover the subject with kiddy graphics :/

I just want my normal, jump-free, skilful monke yball game, without super silly controls, it takes the skill and fun away... there are less than 120 levels in the newer monkey ball games, deluxe had over 300!

It's a shame though, they really need to bring back the old, effective concepts.

Agreed. Seriously, though, SEGA needs to revive the series with a reboot that has levels like the ones from the first 2 games, as they are challenging to the point where if you make one slight mistake you are screwed. the series needs to also go back to using analog sticks to control and have a full console release

Floor 6 I never really had a problem with; it's all about subtle movements until the come together, then you carefully rush to the other side. Floor 7 was and is still a bitch! the last part screws you over because A: you usually only have around 45-30 seconds left to finish the level, B: the path that you must take is skinny, and C: your monkey is usually warning you about being too close to the edge. When I first passed this particular floor, I was screaming with joy, because of difficulty

I always wanted to see the rest of the worlds in this game. I wish I had your talent, I was real close to slamming my controller down with how frustrating this part of the game is....And I was stuck on stage 6!
