@Gazintyerass sadly they were played alot sometimes ....but it means they were well loved by someone ....I cant put anything on this tone arm it is weighted already and the shell would rub on the records making a really bad sound but thx I remember doing that many moons ago when I was a kid
@toledorecordman I have 78's, this is definitely the sound of wear & tear. Did you know that the original needles applied pressure to the record rather than just resting on it? Ask someone older about "putting coins on the needle" to make them HEAVIER to keep records from skipping! Far cry from CD's and Flash drives, eh? TTYL
