Senpai - Just a Kid

Ahhh remembering the easy life of being a kid again. Wanted to make a little upbeat song with a funny story behind it in which I'm sure many of you can relate to since we were all once at that age. Enjoy!


lookin back to my youth I reminisce
walking in my fathers footsteps trying not to miss
waving high to the people passing by
as i licked the lollipop to get the tootsie roll inside
not paying attention to what was in front of me
my dad grabbed my hand and put me where i was supposed to be
so free i felt like nothing could go wrong
snackin on some candy while i sang a made up song
but oh no
there goes my candy droppin hard upon the floor
i scream and cry til my daddy buys me more
and i keep crying til my daddys done unwrappin
when i get it i stop crying as if nothing ever happened
the sun is up and its a beautiful day
i go to the park where my good friends play
jumpin off the swing when as high as can be
feeling free til i land and scrape my knee
it didnt hurt bad but i wanted to cry
but i saw the girl i liked in the corner of my eye
i stood up lookin oh so tough
thinking that this girl has now fallen in love
with me yeah me Mr. Crybaby
gotta always get my way life is so easy
with some dirt on my shirt i feel a little cool
but this kid looked at me like i was some kinda fool
confused and i give a little cough
i had a strange feeling that something seemed off
turned my head to the left to give her a glance
just to find out she was laughing at the rip in my pants
oh well
at least i got a lollipop in my hand
it still tastes good with a little bit of sand and
everyday i wish life was like then
but now i live my life with my paper and my pen

@TheKriz12 Thanks homie and yes, there will be on the album release. I'm actually deciding whether or not to put a beat behind both the instrumental and lyric version for the album. All depends on how i can make it sound. Look forward to it!
