Clips of the restored Met-Cam DMU in service on the Mid-Norfolk Railways. A clip of it crossing the main road at Dereham (with the shakes!) and arriving and departing Thruxton. Where you can see the new loop being built.

  • Too Common!! It's still horrid!! To be fair the noise the crossings make lets you know you have arrived. lol.

  • Cheers Lou.

  • Great Vid - enjoyed it.

The weld on the track was common on ungated crossings, it means the driver has to slow down or shake his teeth out! It also lets the driver and guard know they are on the crossing in fog!

  • very good, you werent kidding when you said about the shakes which was funny. looks like you had a nice day to film

  • yeah, it has a thin strip of metal welded to the top of the track, I assume to slow down the trains.

  • Really shook the old camera when it went past.
