@southern4501isawesom I don't hate steam locomotives. I just scrap them when I get them. They are just income for my business. Yes, they once served. The ones I did got were given up by preservation groups who could not afford them any longer. The could not pay the rent, for shelter, required insurance, taxes, bank's service fees & many other things. Bankrupt! They could not get a grant nor a buyer except for the scrap operator & foundry for their materials. Does that answer your question?

@Cockroach2008 i have a question for you... why do you hate steam locomotives? they have done so much for our country and they special there are groups trying to buy a steamer.. why not just sell them to a historical group? i mean some groups would do ANYTHING for a steamer...just a thing ive been thinking since i have seen your comments about steamers.. do you just not like trains or what? unlike these railfans... (and i am a railfan my self...) im not going to threaten your life.
