  • Hang on. Isn't Pelosi next in line to rise to the post of the VP?

  • If the president and vice president die or are incapacitated, then the Speaker of the House is next in the line of succession. In this case, though, the president is still in place, so he is empowered to replace the VP.

  • Both parties are a sham, both candidates a joke, and the government has more crooks and criminals than your average state penitentiary.

  • Off topic, but newsworthy: Rachel Maddow loves Sarah Palin and Keith Olberman is jealous about the relationship. He thinks that because he was responsible for Rachel getting the MSNBC position, pushing Dan Abrams out, he should be able to be Rachel's boyfriend, not Sarah

  • It seems they have been deleted.

  • But the Americans WILL accept liars within their government. To accept government at all means accepting liars. They're all hucksters, swindlers, criminals, conspirators or deconstitutionalists.

  • "So what if the VP is tried and convicted?"

It would send clear message to ALL politicians that the American public will not accept liars within thier government.

  • So what if the VP is tried and convicted? Is a prison term the same as incapacitation?

We need to repeal the 12th amendment. The unelected post of the VP was not in the original plan for the nation and now we finally see the trouble caused by its now the executive, now the congressional ambiguous status.
