http://www.nucleusinc.com/medical-animations Episiotomy is commonly performed during childbirth to prevent tearing of the perineum. This 3D medical animation depicts two types of episiotomy during labor and delivery, a surgical procedure during vaginal birth in which an incision is made in the perineum to widen the vaginal opening, in order to allow a baby to pass through and be born. A midline incision extends straight down from the vagina toward the anus. A mediolateral incision is made on an angle from the vagina in the direction of the anus.

  • Try having an Episiotomy WITHOUT being able to allow time for the numbing medicine to kick in!

  • top comments: "this makes my vagina hurt" and "im glad i have a penis" haha xD

  • Episitomies are rarely truly necessary and are often preformed because we live in a technocratic society in which many doctors feel the need to be doing something to assist in some way. Vaginas will rarely tear on their own and episotomies are typically meant to be preventative "solutions" that encourage women and their families to abide by this technocratic model. No wonder health care is so expensive. We are paying for things we don't actually need.

  • @jman6866 i will never have kids of my own. i dont have the patience for any of it. before birth with the way my diet is, the kid would of ended up with serious problems. and during and after birth? not going through that pain because i have zero tolerance for pain. know my reasons before criticizing why i will never have kids and why i cant stand them.

  • @ParadiseReptiles1 you know nothing about birth, i feel so sorry for you.

  • @ParadiseReptiles1 thats pretty sad. but ur choice.

  • im glad i made the decision to never have kids. 1-the pain is not worth it 2- i started hating when i was about 11 or so 3- the risk of complications are too high. if i ever end up preggo, im going right to the abortion option without hesitation.

  • he cut the vagina ????? OUCH , PENIS AND PROUD
