They were always in a good position, controlling the Reach and all. Cersei's stupidity did help them a lot as well, though. I always like seeing Cersei fuck up at everything she does! :P

Making fools of what house? Baratheon? They got their king killed and let the True King Stannis Baratheon escape. Stark? Tyrells never even touched a Stark. Lannister? Maergery is in as big a mess as Cersei is. Dorne? The scorpionhatch has been opened many times on a Tyrell-lordling and every time Dorne as held, unbent, unbowed, unbroken.

Sure, and Renly will return from the grave to be their king.

The Tyrells will either turn their cloaks to Aegon and be smashed by Dany, or try to seize power for themselves and get slaughtered on the throne.
