@Desmaad Jefmajor has described it as a "roguelike-like", due to the fact that the maps and rooms are randomly generated and death is permanent, but it does not have RPG elements and is played in real time.

This game has been compared to a combination of Zelda and Robotron, but I think Zelda and Atic Atac would be more accurate.
