Clyde's Hiwatt DG-504 Demo

This is a quick video I made to demo the Hiwatt DG-504. Please view my other videos for some better quality sound samples.

The other gear used: A Hughes & Kettner 2x12 cab with Celestion Vintage 30's, a 1995 American Fender Stratocaster with Dimarzio mini humbuckers, a Boss BD-2 Blues Driver with H2O Mod, a Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive with a Tube Screamer Mod, a BYOC Big Muff clone, and a SPF Ego Booster pedal.

The camera is a Cannon PowerShot SD750.

I think a lot of your 'clean' tones in this video (and the others) make me think just as much of Pete Townshend at Woodstock, or Live at Leeds, or anywhere else for that matter.... What flavor of tweed amp is that being ignored next to the HiWatt, by the way? Some kind of 5E7, maybe? Closet Townshend fan, are ye?

the tone is in your hands!! damn it! pedals only give you kind of the "dynamic" of the tone. the rest is the player.i promise anyone could pick up Gilmore exact rig and it wouldn't sound like him without his fingrs.

Thanks! I'm just trying to give a more accurate assessment of what I think is an awesome amp! I'm really glad you appreciate it. I hope people can use it as a tool to see if they might purchase it or a similar amp!

do you use 12ax7 (100% gain) in V1 and V2 positions in this amp??
