MCHB Research Spotlight: CARN Network

Dr. Jay Schulkin, Director of Research, ACOG, discusses the Collaborative Ambulatory Research Network (CARN), a pregnancy-related care research network (PRCRN), with over 20 years of research efforts in assessing and improving provider practice patterns and educational needs of health care providers to women, with a critical focus on health care disparities and underserved populations. CARN efforts have resulted in significant advancements in clinical practice and health care services for women, development of evidence-based guidelines, enhancing knowledge of the educational needs of providers, and mentorship and development of new and young researchers.
