@warnerd14 I hope you are able to get one! It is nicer to shoulder than a Garand, and is really nice to shoot. I too have a GI duffle cut k98. BYF44. Really nice but the bayonet lug was chisled off. The GI who brought it back used a wooden dowell rod and glue to put it back together, but it didn't hold up for even 3 shots. I got it fixed, now I just need a cleaning rod and new bayonet lug.

I am seriously Jealous, I have always wanted an original K98k G.I. bring back. When I get out of the Army I shall purchase one.
