Special thanks to Mr. Jeffrey Siu (Out-door photos) and Dr. Lawrence Chan (In-door photos) for their wonderful photos.
This was recorded at 22-8-2007 in Hong Kong.
The guitar in the pictures was a 1973 Hauser II guitar.
The music was recorded with a 2001 Dammann guitar.

  • Mr. Snorlax, I like Concierto de Aranjuez and guitar music of Piazzolla, Roland Dyens, Leo Brouwer, Takemitsu, Villa Lobos, Andrew York, Albeniz, Tarrega....and J.S.Bach. I think Bach are most difficult for me as there so many possiblities to interpret a single piece of Bach.

  • Thanks Mr. Snorlax! I prefer cedar top guitars. It seems to me there are more rooms for my right hand to adjust the pressure on the strings.

  • Dear Mr. Snorlax, I would recommend Antonio Marin Montero. Make sure you find one before 2006. The quality of his guitars between 2000 to 2006 were most stable. After 2006, for some reason, he raised his production to almost 30 guitars per year. The sound quality and materials used were not as good as before. Do try it before you buy one.

  • What are the guitars you would recommend for about $7000. I generally like spruce top guitars better, but every guitar is different so I can't say no to cedar... I've been looking around for a long time, but I can't decide!!! By the way, I don't mind a long waiting list. Thank you.

  • Thank you for responding so fast!! I have another question... What is your favorite repertoire and what is the most difficult piece for guitar?? Thank you :)

  • You play very well. What do you prefer spruce or cedar???
