Could someone please explain to me about this pickup thing? Why does it have a battery pack?

Gibson have changed the appointments many times over the years: the floral design on the pickguard, the number of pieces of pearl on the bridge, the material for the tuning keys (metal / bone / plastic) - and so on.

4 pieces is only on the custom right?

Some of the old J200s only had 2 pieces of pearl on the bridge too.
4 pieces is (I think) too much.

Very nice Guitar - I bought the birds eye maple custom J200 after vising the Gibson acoustic factory in Bozeman Montana back in 2004.
They are so well made and sound so good. Thanks for posting. Phil
