CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Funding for a new bridge to replace the Brent Spence Bridge will come largely from tolls. That's what a financial plan from the Transportation Departments from both Ohio and Kentucky shows. The report says tolls would cover more than 93 percent of the cost of the project. It does not say how much the toll would be. Construction on the new bridge is scheduled to begin in 2016 with completion slated for sometime in 2020. This plan still needs the okay of the Kentucky Legislature because those lawmakers have to approve any tolls established. Complete report on our website HERE.
