  • It's great that theres some beach volleyball on youtube that actually goes on at Kits beach in Vancouver. Afterall we got more beaches here then meets the eye. I think of Vancouver as the California of Canada. Thanks for posting the game and not just in part either, alot of action here. Volleyball is truly part of SUMMER!

  • Absolutely; have I seen you down there? I play in the Clivers every summer.

  • Cool video; thanks for sending it. You guys play some solid ball down there. Let me know if you ever want to head up to Canada for some vball. We have some great setups here. Only in the summer though!

  • Hey man, did you use youtube to insert the text on to your video or did you use some sort of editing software?

  • I used Pinnacle Studio for the Editing and adding text; I have never used youtube for that sort of thing. Do you like the video? Make sure to check out the new Volleyball video I just posted; the most amazing SKYBALL at the end.

  • Yeah, good video. Where is Kits Beach, btw?

  • In Vancouver, BC Canada. We get some amazing players coming down for the tourneys there; do you play vball? Where are you at?

  • Reader/Sewell are from Canada...but train in Brasil during the winter I think. Saw them play at the beach nationals in Toronto.

  • Thanks, that is helpful.

  • The rules aren't exactly more lenient, but they are different. You are allowed to bring the ball lower and hold it longer in beach, as you see all the time, but there can't be any spin at all on the ball when its released. You're also not allowed to volley a serve... and well generally players only do it on the second contact if the pass is good...

  • Most of those overhand sets would be illegal in indoor play. Are the rules more lenient in beach?

  • Yeah, just got turned on to it a few years ago in Jax, FL. I've got a few videos....I'll post one of them as a video response if you're interested in seeing what kind of ball we have here. We'd kill to have a setup like the one you guys have.
