This is a great song. I was never a TB fan but love this song. I think his brain went soft this week a when he made those statements about legalizing all drugs (like Amsterdam) after Whitney Houston's tragic death. What is he thinking?
Tony had to do some "horse-trading" with Mitch Miller to record this (he still dislikes this record)- it was a matter of "You record this, and I'll let you record whatever you want for your next release".
One of the best from summer of 1957! I remember going into the litte sound booths at The Book Shop in Fitchburg MA - you could play records before buying them. Man those were the days!
Hearing this song way back in the latter 1950s always had me dreaming of leaving New England and moving to warm Hawaii. Well, I made it to Florida! Tony's version of this song is the best; but, Joni James' version is truly wonderful and Ernie Ford's version is nicely upbeat... LG

I am a Hawaiian dancer and danced to this at my recital last year. Great song!

I think this song would have been a no. 1 hit except for a guy named Elvis Presley!

Great song by Tony and I'm not TB fan. This is the only song he ever did that I like.

Great early hit by Tony Bennett. Along with Firefly it is one of his forgotten great recordings.
