Somebody get Robin Williams to do the film....

What a star Lonnie was. He brought rock and roll to Britain. He always wanted to play with Chris Barbers band. How many people know Chris Barber's mum was Labour Mayor of Canterbury in the 1970's.

I hear this music and I'm again a twelve year old kid, hanging around the travelling fairground that called to "The Breck" (our local waste ground) in Liverpool during the years between 56 and 64 or so. Lonnie; a hero of old farts like me who remember when he and his skiffle group were the "punk rockers" of the day, in the way that musical tastes were soundly challenged and then put to bed!!! I'm wishing I could get the DVd of some performances like this too.

@drjazzisme Thanks for this. I now live in France, so it's a bit hard to find boot sales here, but I'll keep an eye out on eBay....
