This video depicts a goods/slate train operating on Pen-Morfa Quarry Light Railway mainline during 1909. Simplex provided by Dr John Smith of T.A.R.D.S (Train and Rail Distribution Service).
@ajhdbsteam I think they're just a little trickier to drive. They will start and stop smoothly sometimes, but other times they lurch a little. Remember, you're opening a valve that admits a quantity of steam through a rather long superheater pipe before eventually reaching the cylinders. It's a bit of a learned art, compared to the smooth proportional control of electricity. At least, this is my opinion.

Very very nice, any chance of a video of your Tom Rolt model?
I noticed your having a few issues with running, what is causing it? I model 009 so I wouldnt have a clue whats causing a live steam model to fault
