He did... July 10th, 1941. But then he was born 10-20-1890. 51, not unusual for those days. And where he spent most of time, it was probably a miracle he lived that long!

Fantastic! Jelly Roll Morton was the kind of person that could kill you with his razor-sharp tongue but probably the Old jelly would have to let his tongue hang out looking at this young man hitting the ivories.
