Pro-China Protesters at Dalai Lama Seattle Event

In a show of pro-Chinese support, several hundred demonstrators protested Monday outside the college basketball arena where the Dalai Lama spoke. Seattle's large Chinese community had remained largely silent until Monday. (April 14)

I don't really get why white liberals are all about protesting to "free Tibet". The same situation was going on in Ireland to expel British rule, and recently Texas wanted to secede from the Union yet nobody's protesting to free Texas or Ireland. Free Tibet movement was started by the CIA to destabilize the region. Even the Dalai Lama admitted to accepting money from the CIA to train guerilla fighters. The free Tibet movement is no longer pursued by the CIA. Only liberals care about it now.

@tenzintashi4 Please do some reading and history before saying so, the Tibetan issue is very complicated. Shouldn't look at this issue by its surface, Dalai Lama is a complicated person, he involved with things he shouldn't be. People with humor like him also has a complex mind.

How many times do I have to repeat this. The Chinese Communist Party is CONTROLLING all religions.

Those who don´t follow the party lines end up in re-education camps and prisons.

The CCP is EDUCATING "living Buddhas" now. There are plenty of new CCP-lamas.... The party leaders want to keep the "Dalai Lama institution". Their intention is to appoint the next Dalai Lama (and they are impatient).

u do know that there is not such thing as living god in buddhism. a god is between living and dead which should not be in a status of living god. even in christianity, jesus had to die first and return from the dead as a superior being (between living and dead). this is just one of the major differences of lamaeism and regular buddism. in china, there are private prationers of buddhism that do not follow the party lines.

The purpose of this organization is to place all Buddhists under the leadership of the "communist" party.
