I see much people here are not "up to date". Actually the swiss army is testing some of the best jets. The new jet will replace the F5 Tiger. And the FA18 Hornet can also attack ground targets!

The swiss army helicopters are not armed, but they can easily install some.

Of course can an aircraft destroy a tank. But in the battle they are protected by an AA battalion. And of course the AA systems are limited but we have enough to protect switzerland.

@Fruitjoke No idea. Probably even Ueli Maurer does not know it :-) And for the moment it is difficult from the financial point of view for the swiss army to get some new stuff. So also the F5 replacing project is unfortunately frozen. But finally I think also the Eurofighter will be the best solution.

the problem is not in the amry executed by normal citizens and professionals. the problem lies within the majority of the people of the country itself. first we are overfooded with immigrants from all over the planet, first of the looser place called germany. this is undermining the true past values of the country. and this fact is not understood by the remaining true swiss people.
