Now, my brake pads are too close to my rim...and they are rubbing. Should I do the opposite? Loosen the pinch bold and pull the cable up? Response greatly appreciated! Thanks

Excellent video. I just had my brakes fixed toay (new pads) and they are tighter than a drum. It makes a horrible noise when they stop (almost like the back tire is about to crack in half) I know that's not how they're supposed to work. .I'll try your technique. It looks fairly simple. I have a Vbrake and lets see what happens.

@stvba Its straight foward. If its to tight lossen the bolt and nut then tighten only the nut to the lever. if its to loose lossen the nut and tighten the bolt.

I like this video, but it doesn't cover anything about adjusting the brake handgrip lever. I don't mean the lever like the bike in the video has. A "normal" lever on a normal bike, not a "road" bike where you have to hunch over to ride, but let's say a hybrid bike. Can anyone recommend a good video that goes into detail on how to repair or adjust the hand-lever portion of brake system? thx, steve in Miami

@jumpingjehosafad and @XxMonkeBalls2xX, did you guys see what he set the cable tention, but instead of pulling it down, let it move up a bit until you like it... and break pads would help but idk how much they are, let alone how to install them...

@XxMonkeyBalls2xX I'm gunna try getting new brake pads and see if it helps. That was the only thing i could think of, cuz even when my brakes are very tight it still does it.

I can squeeze my brakes and pedal through it. They slow me down, but they don't bring me to a dead halt. Do I need new break pads?
