2009.07.03 - First day of running after not running for years (a decade?) to prepare for a marathon later in the year. Went out and got a pair of running shoes and Nike+ sensor to sync with my iPhone 3G S which is probably the only way I'm going to stay motivated to run (because I'm a giant tech geek).

  • wow Thanks for the video helped me make a decision

Btw did you happen to be born in the south? haha not trying to make fun but its funny to see an asian with a southern accent

  • Np, thanks for watching.

Yeah, I've always thought it was pretty funny also.

  • hi do I need to download the nike + app for my iphone=? I can't seam to find the icon on the main menu, how do you turn the running mode on, on the iphone? thanks mann

  • If you have 3GS, check under your iPhone Settings.

  • good video, what iphone armband do you use? is it good or too heavy?

  • I use a Rocketfish armband, mainly because that's the only iPhone armband I could find at Best Buy after visiting several different stores (including an Apple store). Works just fine, except it gets soaked pretty quickly when you're running miles, and no, not heavy at all.

Place the sensor in your Nike+ Ready shoe correctly.

The sensor should be logo-up, with the Nike Swoosh logo pointing toward the heel.

    :)

  • @Kimkrog its fancier, no one really needs them. there is plenty of ways to know how much you ran/jogged.

  • Dont think I have really got the concept of that nike+ "chip" (for the shoes)... Why use that nike+ chip, when the iphone itself can track distance, pace, and so on?? Anyone who can enlighten me?

  • i remember the time when the world is much more simpler, a person can run with his boxers on and nothing else.

  • &a22fc $19.99..the sport kit is $29.99....which has the sensor and the receiver...

  • haha love your power song man. ur a funny guy ! good stuff

  • i don't like u.

  • how much is the nike sensor thing?

  • way 2 go man i am going to start this summer
