can you let them sit outside and freeze through the winter and then do it or does it matter if you do it in the fall and let the seeds dry out?
Also, I heard some seeds won't work if they came from "mule" plants that nurseries sell (apparently they use mules so you do have to buy them again next year). In that case, where is a specific place that any of us can buy marigolds that we can trust will have viable seeds?
