Say u are innocent and live in london and u r walking home from work/school and all of a sudden there is a gang in your way, they stop u and start talking to you or maybe threatening you. And all of a sudden u got stabbed. Wouldnt u want to rewind and live that day again with the police having searched them earlier that day? That one search would have saved your life. You cant blame police they r trying to keep us safe, blame the Dickheads who carry weapons.

Time to get real lads. As a rocker in the 60`s, I was quite often stopped and not so much searched, as asked pointless timewasting questions, just because the copper wanted to. I also used to drive an old van, and could guarantee that late it night, I would be stopped and made to turn out my van. Then on a Sunday, when we went down the coast from London, you can bet that if a cops car was at the side of the road, we`d get a pull. We just put up with it.

On another point, on the side of the coppers, black youth only has itself to blame for a lot of the stop & search, as they are more likely to be packing a piece or a shiv. They are also more likely to kick off, then get arrested so they can be further checked.

Most Police know who the criminals are, it's just to make it look like their actually doing something and 9 times out of 10 it's going to be an innocent Black youth their stopping it stands to reason their going to be innocent if they just pick out any dude walking down the street.
