  • i'm finding my 65sec timed swim super-hard (went over by about 8 seconds on my first go today), but the assessment's in like 3 days... and i'd like not to think it's because i'm unfit - i've just never done the scissor kick before, and that's what this basically is right?

is this more about technique or 'strength'? cos i REALLY don't think it's cos i'm particularly weak.

  • Aahh. I found this the most difficult on my timed swims until I changed my technique at the last minute (before the exam!). It worked for me. I do still feel a little uncoordinated between my arms and legs

  • doing lifeguard course now, it's awesome, got assessment next week. Vice grip and bear hug are my favs. :)

  • obviously aint a lifeguard r ya mate! na didnt think so.

  • why the hell would u bring someone to the edge like that as a lifeguard?? u can hurt their necks and then get ur self a lawsuit, just use the rescue tube that u should always have near u to get them out,

  • no u have 2 do a assited lift
