New appraisal addendum for Santa Clarita Green homes

The Appraisal Institute just released an appraisal addendum, for use with homes that have "Green" upgrades. Lenders, owners, and agents, when handling Santa Clarita homes during a refinance or purchase, should make sure that any energy efficient upgrades are noted on this new addendum, that allows for the appraiser to more closely analyze the features. By doing so, the appraiser may be able to give more credit by way of upgrades value, enhancing the homes appraised value that much more.
