While it's nice if the government holds our hands and gives us money all our lives, it removes agency. Free health care isn't free. It costs Germans 40% of their paycheck. It costs Swedes even more! No matter how you slice it, there is no such thing as free health care. What's even worse is when it's free, you don't get a choice in what you get; it's like mystery meat in Elementary School.
