Yes, it is an RC plane, but not like your average RC plane. It's another in my series of "things that should not fly".

This is an amazing RC ornithopter that flies by flapping its wings and is powered by an electric motor and lipo.

Notice how I didn't flinch when the damned thing almost knocked me over shortly after launch?

Interestingly enough, this craft created a real stir amongst the genuine birdlife around the field. Half a dozen swallows came out of nowhere and tried to drive it off by swooping on it.

And check out the new trailer at the end of this vid for a sample of the other stuff you'll find on the XJet channel.

  • @floriboy17 I got a small one in Singapore for about $50, it flew quite well my kid loved it, have a look in any good toy shop and you should be able to find one in the RC section.

  • Is it any harder to fly these things compared to normal rc planes? It just looks so cool. I'm thinking of getting one myself when i have a bit more time on my hands. And the price seems reasonable. Just love how you can hear the lawnmower with wings in the background and this flying about as peacefull as it can get. Love it!!

  • What is a capacity of this beauty? Is it possible to put a camera module on it?

  • Wonderful, I can say.... But it sounds too loud... but the bird imitation is realy cool and worked well... wanna buy this someday..

  • Ok it was very interesting when this took flight, but the truly remarkable part was when Nature itself (her-himself?) began to take umbrage. That means that it not only looks real to us, but to Nature too. Great job on this! Very nice to see this in flight. Thanks

  • awesome XD love that rc bird ^^

  • @tomzah1 Glad you wrote this because I was just going to. What cretin acting like he designed this. It looks like a Slow Hawk to me because I have one from the one and only Sean Kinkade. And it flies like a dream.

  • Please check RCgroups.com and look under ornithopters. SEAN KINKADE from Cody WY sell them. They are All hand made. It may takes 3 months or more get one for he is always backed up! I have bought several from him. And yes....THEY SHOULD FLY.... If you don't understand them, they won't.

  • nice. i want one lol

  • That thing's super cool! He should sell those
