I happen to have riden such bike, and to dismount, you can either tip to the side slowly, landing on your one foot. You can also swing your one leg over the bike, and jump.

wow that looks awsome...i dont suppose you could get this Riley fellow to give me instructions on how to make a bedstead tall bike, could you? the design looks just fantastic. I've been wanting to make a tall bike for quite a while now but just havent gotten around to it. send me a pm msg if you can.
