The love of playing music is evident when these long time jazz musicians, aged 60 to 100, blend their talents to help
celebrate Doc's 100th birthday. They played at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas in the Arthur Rando-Grillot Recital Hall in the Lee and Thomas Beam Music Center.

  • I loved seeing and hearing the band play so well. Doc Rando (jazz musician-retired physician) is joined by band leader Dave Poe, Clarinet-Singing, George on Piano, Dick-Trumpet, Brian & Donald-Trombone, Rick-Sax, Chuck & Bob-Bass and Bob-Drums. All of the local Las Vegas Dixieland Jazz Band musicians have played together or known of each other for years. Doc was a member of many bands including the Bob Crosby Bobcats in the 1940's along with Nappy Lamare my father-in-law. Thanks. crystalsal39

  • My dad, Jack Le Maire, who just passed away at age 99 played with Doc back in the 1930's. This is very touching.
