Canterbry Youth Gliding Video. Toby 15 and Alex 16 Part 1 of 2

This short film/video is of two New Zealand boys doing what the love, gliding. Most of the filming was done by Toby Read 15, in a Discus CS of Alex McCaw 16. This video was filmed in the heart of the South Island, in a little town called Omarama. Toby Read is only 15 and has 100 hours solo time and soloed at 12 and has his diamond height gain and silver badge. Alex McCaw went solo at 14 and has now Achieved his 5 hours and Silver Height gain and has over 40 hours solo time. Any questions or comments please say. Great piece of production guys, and great flying. Most pilots wait a lifetime here in the UK for that kind of flying (or travel down to NZ!). Whats the music?

WOW, very but very lucky boys, learning how to fly in so joung age! i had to wait a lot, of time to fly and a lot more to have my own glider! and very nice place to fly, perfect mountains for slope soaring!!!!!

Man the soaring is so much better down there. Auckland is rubbish till late Feb. Must head down that way over christmas.
