April 10, 2009, the Reading & Northern delivers an Alco RS-3 to the Delaware Lackawanna, our local Alco powered short line here in NE. PA.
The Jersey Central RR. #1554 has long called Jim Thorpe, PA. her home although It hasn't run in 20+ years. The DL. will rehab the unit including the JCL. Paint, and run her in regular service along with their many other operating Alcos.

Talked to DL shop associate in the beginning of March and they had just finished the wiring on the RS-3 and were planning to install a new prime mover soon.
