Every month many children in your community need a home. For their physical and emotional well being, these children have been removed from their homes because they have been neglected, abused or abandoned. They need the love, care, and understanding of a foster family.

As a foster parent, you become a link in a lifelong chain. You can provide the healing, support, and guidance that can transform a child at risk into a self-assured, successful adult who becomes an avid contributor to his own community. These children need loving care and a sense of belonging until their own families are able to care for them again. Children of all ages, with a variety of needs, are waiting to be welcomed into your home to become part of your family.

Foster parents can be couples or single adults over age 18 who have the ability to support themselves, and they can live in either a house or an apartment. Working parents are welcome as long as appropriate childcare can be arranged, and the Foster Care Program staff can assist with those arrangements. If you have a strong desire to make a positive difference in a child's life and are willing to open your heart and home to provide a nurturing loving and supportive environment, we invite you to become a foster parent.
