Teria sido possível nessa ocasião, efetuar autoland caso o senhor quisesse?

Great video, shows a new perspective on landings from the instruments point of view. Love your videos keep em coming!

@baixadoetravado yes, exaclty what i was trying to say. thanks you :)

In OPEN DSC the thrust will be kept at idle no matter what until you reach the selected altitude, so if the speed decreases bellow the selected speed the pitch will be reduced to maintain the selected speed... no thrust will be added.
-
@baixadoetravado sorry never mind i mis-understood. In OPEN DES he maintains idle thrrust, and descends which such vertical speed to maintain desired speed. Right?
-
@baixadoetravado sure about OPEN DES? So if im descending at a shallow angle, and thus my speed decreases, you saying the ATHR wont increase speed to maintain speed?
-
fantastic.
Hello, I enjoy all your videos, and I have a question : when you go from ALT CRZ to DES, does the autopilot manages the descent in order to tresspass a point at a selected altitude in the FMC ? If so you only have to select an altitude for a point in the FMC and activate DES mode ? or it only descends as fast as he can ? And what is DSC mode and how you activate it ? Thanks for sharing !

@hyrrokinfamily
There are two ways to descend, OPEN DSC and DSC. On both modes you must set the desired final altitude on the FCU, then if you pull the altitude knob OPEN DSC is engaged or if you pull the knob DSC is engaged. The basic difference between these two is that on OPEN DSC the aircraft will set thrust to idle and descend straight to the selected altitude disregarding the calculated profile or constrains on the FMGS.

@baixadoetravado
On the other hand if DSC is engaged the aircraft will follow the calculated descend profile complying with all altitude and speed restrictions inserted on the FMGS as part of the vertical flight plan.
