International Orders:

We do not ship small to medium sized international orders. While we are not ethnocentric Americans who thinks American is the only marketplace in the world, we do adhere to all international laws and take our business very seriously. The wildlife trade is closely regulated and is a highly complex system.

Currently exporting genuine exotic leathers has become extremely difficult for small to medium sized orders. Some species will require additional paperwork and inspections prior to being able to be legally exported out of the United States. Our costs for exports require a minimum of $89 and could cost in excess of $245 per shipment, regardless if it is 1 skins or 10,000 skins.

The financial costs are not the only factor when considering exporting our genuine exotic skins out of the US. Time is another factor that must be brought into consideration. We must dig up all paperwork or the entire paper trail of shipments we have received over the years and prove that what we want to export was legally imported. This also requires us to ask for the paper trail from our suppliers and other companies we trade with to have a large variety of stocked options for our American marketplace.

After we have located the entire paper trail, we must stop what we are doing and drive to the nearest Fish and Wildlife Services office to be judged and scrutinized. Chances that the first attempt is fruitful and we have not only brought the correct skins that match our paper trial are about 30%. The inspectors will usually find something that is not right as this is part of their training.

The next consideration is that each country has their own set of rules and laws for each species. What is allowed in one country is not allowed in another, specifically any appendix 1 or 2 CITES skins. While we want to sell our material and assist every client that contacts us we have to be realistic with expectations and ask that our future clients be realistic with their expectations.

Currently our minimum order for exports is $10,000 or more. We do understand that everyone must start from somewhere and $10,000 in this economy is a lot of money to ask for from someone you have never meet and for something sight unseen. This business is not only about price and quality, however, trust and time.
