USA Network has announced the winners of the first-ever Character Approved Awards to honor individuals from a cross-section of creative disciplines who are positively influencing American culture. This years winner for Architecture is West Coast designer Jennifer Siegal. Being revered as an imaginative and inventive designer on the forefront of the prefabricated architecture movement simply isnt enough for Siegal. She is also helping reduce waste with reusable and recycled materials, as her vision for environmentally sustainable buildings continues to change the landscape of urban and suburban living. • @MaxBogus and how is that a bad thing? Who doesn't want to live in a Mies van der Rohe or Koenig house? And tree-hugging BS? Any design that saves energy ends up being cheaper for its residents, as does building with reused materials and prefab manufacturing. So, you save more for better quality living.. how is this so difficult for people to get?

  • I think they have chosen Amazing people that do Amazing things for these awards.

These people that try to make fun of, or mock USA or Award Winners, should stop.

I don't see you getting an Award like this or becoming famous. So you have no room to talk.

  • Upscaling FEMA trailers!!!!

And the idea is far from from new.. Japanese been doing it for years.. they just start from scratch.

Up next in trendy Arche: pre-cast concrete boxes.. "The Leningrad Look'

USA Network is nuts.. or young and weteared, or both!

  • blah, blah, blah tree-hunging BS.

Damn, the designs look like something out of the 1950's.
